Malina Misiak is from Poland and she works now as administrator in a logistics company in Milton Keynes, England.
“It is very hard to find a job right now in Poland. I was a nurse, I studied really hard and couldn’t find a job after that,” says Malina. She analyses that the biggest problem is Poland’s general economic situation. “I wasn’t thinking about going abroad at all,” she admits. But then she followed her loved one to England in 2007 as his partner was already working there. After some time they broke up, but she still decided to stay in London to raise her children.
She came to UK without speaking much English, but her persistence helped her to move on. Malina worked several jobs, from massage and Reiki to administrative jobs and now feels happy with her choices. “Finally after living here almost 9 years, I feel that this is my home and I am sure that home is everywhere where I go. The home is me,” explaines Malina why she doesn’t go back to Poland anymore. “I think I will never go back to Poland.”
